3 Keys to Leadership Excellence

Leadership is less about action, it is more about attitude that plays behind the action. Here are 3 key lessons for leadership excellence.

First, leaders must evolve around a vision, he/she must be motivated enough to teach others to dream as well, and make dreams come true by working with and through people. As Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam (former President of India) puts it: “The dream is not that you see in sleep, dream is which does not let you sleep”. Dream drives leaders, and let others stay alert on the driving track.

Second, it is the attitude towards responsibility that drives a leader towards excellence. Captain is the last person to leave a sinking ship.

Third, leader never plays blame-game. Blaming is the easiest game, solving is the hardest thing to do. Leaders see both success and failure as outcomes of team’s efforts. While being grateful and giving credits to team’s successes, he/she energizes everybody to move forward and accept failure as a learning opportunity.

    I must add with the must three mentioned keys without what, we hardly, accept someone as leader. And that is result. We listen to the successful persons, we quote them. The three keys are effort that , I be,I’d’ve, a many will demand they have. Personal charisma; eithe that be her deep knowledge or interpersonal skill, helps to bring out the best out of the followers which is also required for the success.

    Yes. I agree with you. The leader should have a good control over his/her vision. And business leadership depends on knowledge of The Leader and his/ her true alignment with the Dream.
